Cook , Stephen, PhD served as Professor of Orthopedic Surgery and Director of Orthopedic Research at Tulane University School of Medicine. Before spending 27 years on the faculty, Dr. Cook was a student at Tulane, and spent 35 consecutive years there. He has over 30 years experience in the orthopaedic industry.  He has deep expertise in conducting pre-clinical studies relating to BMP (Bone Morphogenic Proteins) and works as a consultant for several large companies. He has been an active advisor and Board member of several small medical device companies. He has published over 200 articles in respected peer reviewed journals and his research activity has generated over 35 million dollars in support in which he has been principal investigator. He is a member of numerous societies and the recipient of numerous awards.
