Frank Stelling, MEd, MPH, is the Assistant Director in the Policy Department of the National Committee for Quality Assurance (NCQA). He directs the annual publication of all standards and guidelines product for the Interactive Survey System, the Web-based survey tool, and the printed version of the standards. He serves as product champion for all new products being produced by the Policy unit. He is the lead on all federal and state deeming activities, including the Medicare Deeming program. Mr. Stelling is also a member of the Policy Development Group--an interdisciplinary work group charged with resolving policy issues.
Prior to joining NCQA, Mr. Stelling served in various capacities in care management and preventive services for a national managed care organization. He was a member of the quality improvement committee, and led the organization through a successful NCQA survey. He has over 30 years’ experience in management; i.e., managed care, hospital, public health, and voluntary health organizations. Mr. Stelling has a Master of Education from the University of South Carolina, and a Master of Public Health from the University of California, Berkeley.
