Heese, Bryce, MA, MD is an assistant professor at the University of Florida, Division of Pediatric Genetics and Metabolism. He has a master’s degree from Boston University School of Medicine for work in child psychiatry, and a medical degree from the University of Nebraska Medical Center. His pediatric training was done through the Creighton University/University of Nebraska Joint Pediatrics program. His biochemical genetics training was done at Mayo Clinic in Rochester, Minnesota. Dr. Heese is board certified in pediatrics and in clinical biochemical genetics. He is currently a clinician at the University of Florida, Department of Pediatrics and is involved with the state’s newborn screening program for inborn errors of metabolism. His particular interests include the diagnosis and management of fatty acid oxidation defects and increasing awareness of lysosomal storage disease.
