Kim (McGee) Horton, RN, CMCN, CRT, is Team Lead for Anthem’s Clinical Centers of Medical Excellence-Transplants for the Central Region; and is is responsible for ensuring consistency for this virtual unit and providing daily support to the Transplant Case Managers. She is a highly skilled career professional with 22 years practical experience in the health care environment.

Ms. Horton attended Cincinnati Technical College where she graduated with an Associates Degree in Applied Science in the field of Respiratory Therapy; and Associates Degree in Applied Science Nursing. Her credential include: Ohio Board Certified as Registered Nurse; Ohio Board Certified as Respiratory Therapist; University of Cincinnati Certificate of Training and Development for supervisory management.

In Kim’s current position she is accountable for directly supporting clinical associates with day-to-day activities, supports care management associates to effectively and efficiently implement the care management process, directly supports and collaborates with the CM/UM manager in the development and implementation of programs to monitor and evaluate the effectiveness of the care management program, directly supports the CM/UM manager and assist in the development, implementation, and evaluation of departmental changes, accountable for assisting the CM /UM manager as directed with functions including associate performance reviews, quality case reviews, hands-on-training and education for team members, conflict resolution, and assessment and refinement of care management work flows and process. She collaborates with her team members for desired outcomes.
