Margaret E. St. Coeur, RN, BS, CCM, CDMS, is currently a Workers’ Compensation Manager with First Cardinal, LLC, in Braintree, MA.  Margaret has 23 years’ case management experience and 18 years’ critical care management, giving her insight into case management programs in a variety of settings:  national group health insurers, acute care hospitals, HMOs, and Workers’ Compensation insurance programs. 

She is a graduate of the Peter Bent Brigham Hospital School of Nursing, and later graduated from New England College with a BS in Psychology. Her clinical experience includes management of a regional trauma center for over 15 years.  She was also Director of a hospital-based case management program, and Statewide Leader of Case Management at Massachusetts Blue Cross Blue Shield. Additionally, she served as Administrator of Medical Management at Aetna Health Plans; and, most recently, as Medical Manager at Travelers Insurance.

She is the author of Case Management Practice Guidelines, and has presented at numerous regional and national case management conferences. Margaret was the “2005 Case Manager of the Year” for the Case Management Society of New England.
