Sandra L. Lowery, RN, BSN, CRRN, CCM, CNLCP--Since 1986, Sandi has consulted nationally for over 250 payer and provider organizations for case management planning, operations, both in public and private sectors, while managing an independent case management practice, of which she is President (CCMI Associates). Her specialty is in training case managers, and she currently trains over 500 case managers annually.

• Served on Case Management Society of America’s Board for 9 years, and was Past President of CMSA during 2000-2001.

• Adjunct faculty, case management and healthcare, University Systems of NH, 1998-present.

• Member, advisory boards for Lippincott’s Case Management & the Case Management Advisor.
• Recipient of the “Case Manager of the Year” award by the Case Management Society of America, 1995 and the “Case Manager of the Year” award by the Case Management Society of New England in 2006.
• Member, National Task Force on Case Management, CMSA’s Task Force for the 2002 Standards of Practice; the Reference Committee for CMSA’s 1995 Standards of Practice, and the Expert Panel for the Certified Case Manager credential.
• International lecturer and author on case management topics.
• 11 years’ clinical experience in acute care, home health, rehabilitation, oncology, and research prior to case management.
• Nationally certified in rehabilitation nursing, case management, and life care planning.
• Education: BSN from the State University of New York.
