Lisa Vogele, RN, CMCN, CCM, graduated from the Christ Hospital School of Nursing In Cincinnati, Ohio. After graduating she started working at Cincinnati Children’s Hospital. Lisa worked her first five years in the chronic care tracheotomy unit where she was the charge nurse and was part of the team to develop standardized chronic care plans. She also assisted in getting the information needed to assist families with financial aid needed for their high tech children at home care.

The next area worked in was the Emergency Room at Cincinnati Children’s Hospital as a Pediatric Advanced Life Support Instructor for several years. This is where Lisa developed her teaching skills to a vast audience: from a resident, and a new nurse; to the well-seasoned nurse and practicing physician. Lisa  was a charge nurse in the Emergency Room, which at that time was the busiest ER in North America. This allowed her to develop her skills of being able to lead in a very fast passed environment while assuring the public was always getting timely high quality care.

Lisa’s next career move was to WellPoint/Anthem Insurance. It is at this company where she developed her love for case management as a Care Counselor. She thrived in the education environment of assisting the member to become a well-informed health conscious health care consumer. Lisa obtained her Certification for Case Management and awarded her Certified Case Manager certificate. This was the springboard to her current position as a Bariatric Case Manager. Lisa is a member of the Southern Ohio Valley Chapter Case Management Society of America, and also serves on the Membership Committee.
