Candy Tefertiller is the clinical coordinator of the Beyond Therapy Program at Shepherd Center Catastrophic Care Hospital in Atlanta, Ga. She was the first therapist to start an activity-based therapy program at Shepherd and has been primarily responsible for all clinical and program development. She received her ATP (assistive technology practitioner) certification from RESNA in 2005.
Candy has worked primarily with the neurologically impaired population for the last 7 years to include spinal cord injury, traumatic brain injury and stroke. She has been employed as a physical therapist in the acute, rehab and out patient settings. Prior to working at Shepherd Center, she worked at Roger C. Peace Rehabilitation Hospital in Greenville, SC where she also specialized in the treatment of patients with neurological disorders.
Candy received here Master of Physical Therapy degree from East Carolina Univeristy in Greenville, NC and a Bachelor of Science in Biology from Mount Olive College. She is a member of the American Physical Therapy Association and RESNA.
