Ellen Fink-Samnick, LCSW, CCM, CRC, President of EFS Supervision Strategies, brings her energy, humor and unique focus from 25 years of professional experiences in developing innovative case management models for healthcare. Known for her “no nonsense & lessons learned’ approach, Ellen is a national presenter, with articles on Professional Resilience, Interdisciplinary Communication, Revisioning & Self-Care and Accountability for Health and Human Service Professionals published in assorted professional journals.
Dedicated to education and professional development, Ellen provides private clinical supervision to social workers. She is Adjunct Faculty for George Mason University and Northern Virginia Community College. Ellen is a Clinical Supervision Certification Trainer for NASW of Virginia and an Approved Instructor for them. She is an Examination Item Writer for the Association of Social Work Boards, and serves on the Editorial Advisory Board for Lippincott's Professional Case Management. Ellen is a Certified Case Manager, Licensed Clinical Social Worker, and Certified Rehabilitation Provider.
A two-time President and Vice-President of the Case Management Society of the National Capital Area (CMSNCA), Ellen was the 2002 recipient of their “Distinguished Case Manager of the Year” award. She has served on the Board of Directors for the National Association of Social Workers of Virginia, and is currently Chairperson of their Legislative Committee. Ellen is elected to serve as Delegate from Virginia to the National NASW Delegate Assembly this summer, and sits on their Professional Self-Care Panel. She has also been involved with the Case Management Society of America’s Government Affairs Committee, and also National Facilitator of both Rehabilitation & Subacute Special Interest Groups. Ms. Fink-Samnick is also an appointee to the Maternal Mortality Review Team for the Commonwealth of VA.
