Second Annual Town Hall Meeting:
Understanding How to Establish the Right Case Load and Acuity Level for Case Managers
Over a year ago, CMSA and NASW convened the Case Load Work Group to study and report on ways to improve how case management case loads and acuity levels are established. Prior to the June, 2008, CMSA annual meeting, the Work Group is scheduled to publish a white paper discussing this topic – which will systematically address and report on this issue.
This Second Annual Town Hall Meeting will feature an interactive session that will continue to identify and discuss the factors that directly or indirectly impact case loads including the:
v Initial elements impacting case loads;
v Initial and on-going comprehensive needs assessments;
v The actual case management intervention(s); and
v The desired outcomes.
The CMSA/NASW Case Load Work Group will use the feedback from this Town Hall Meeting to help identify what the next steps are in terms up developing electronic tools and other resources to promote evidence-based, case management practices for addressing the case load and acuity level challenge.
