Ever ask yourself why, even when you need it the most, you have the greatest trouble finding time to care for yourself? Does it ever seem that adding even something that's good for you is almost impossible in an already jammed schedule? Are you someone who relegates self-care to a distance second place in an attempt to get everything done?
Then this session will be a sabbatical for your soul! It's about "re-creational" strategies that focus on body-mind-spirit balance, common sense, time-outs, and well-being. It's an invitation to "be-friend" yourself, do some "mental housecleaning," and create an inner simplicity that benefits you and those around you! Practical strategies and life lessons will serve as mirrors for personal reflection and springboards for recharging and change.
Come to a presentation that's been described as inspiring and informative, and that's facilitated by a nationally and internationally-recognized nurse educator and ethicist known for her dynamic and engaging presentation style! Dr. Uustal has authored two award-winning books on self-care entitled: "Caring for Yourself--Caring for Others: The Ultimate Balance!" and Living in Balance in a World on Fast-Forward!"
Objectives:
- Define “balance” for attendee and its role in his/her life style.
- Describe why bond-mind-spirit balance is central to one’s wellness and health.
- Identify at least two concepts or describe two strategies that can help create a “sabbatical for your soul and spirit,” a more effective “care plan.”
