Section II Training Information
Required Preparation: In addition to completing the Webinars and tests related to the Webinars, all trainees will perform ICM open-ended interviews with at least one patient or mock patient prior to attending the face-to-face training. A scored ICM-CAG of this preliminary interview will be turned in as the “ticket for entry” of trainees at the implementation training.
Goals for Participants: To develop initial relationship-building interviewing and ICM-CAG anchor point scoring skills by performing mock interviews; to learn how to translate complexity assessments into care plans with goals and actions using ICM software; to understand how to document clinical, functional, satisfaction, quality of life, and fiscal outcomes while working with the patient/client toward ICM graduation.
Faculty: Roger Kathol, MD, CPE, Becky Perez, RN, CCM, and Deborah Gutteridge, MS, CCM
Requisites for Face-to-Face Training
- Participants are expected to bring a laptop or netbook with Internet capability
- When instructed, complete the entry of a case study into the participant's training account before attending the face-to-face training
- In order to receive a permanent Username/Password to the ICM-CAG, Training Sections I & II must be completed and a passing grade of 70% or higher on the final test must be achieved.
Final Comprehensive Examination
A final, comprehensive examination will be administered at the completion of the face-to-face training. A score of 70% (required for use of CMSA’s ICM software) or greater on this examination will confirm certificate of completion.
