CMSA's 2011 Case Manager of the Year (CMOY) award was presented to
Margo MacRobert, RN, MS, CCM, NEA-BC, of Oklahoma City, OK.
Recognized by her peers as an outstanding mentor who demonstrates the quintessential characteristics of leadership, Margo MacRobert is well respected in her local chapter and in the local health care community for her professionalism and dedication to case management. Her work at the University of Oklahoma Health Science Center College of Nursing as Executive Director of Case Management is a “showcase of excellence in case management practice,” stated the Dean of the College of Nursing. As director of 75 CMs with clients in 74 of the 77 counties of Oklahoma, she has developed evidence-based practice protocols for all high-volume patient diagnoses by employing such guidelines as those outlined CMSA’s Standards of Practice. A champion for best practices and case management excellence, not only is she esteemed for her leadership skills, but for her commitment to the profession of case management and the clients her practice touches.
