The Government Affairs Committee would like to introduce a new page to the CMSA website that will provide information and resources that case managers can utilize to keep up to date, informed and educated regarding current issues and trends happening in the world of healthcare.
Case managers are integral members of the care coordination team and viewed as advocates for consumers. As such, they need this information to be better able to educate consumers and respond to issues that effect consumer's access to quality healthcare services.
As the professional organization for case managers, the Case Management Society of America hopes that this page will provide information on issues and help you formulate your opinion as well as know the stance that your professional organization is taking. If you have recommendations to the page, or want to add a link or resource that you have found valuable in your practice from which others can benefit, please feel free to email Danielle Marshall (
), Director of Member Services for review.
Thank you and please feel free to email us with your comments or questions.
As always,
Margaret Leonard, MS, RN, C, FNP, Cm Chair, Public Policy / Legislative Committee
