CASE MANAGERS

Case managers are licensed healthcare professionals providing patient assessment, treatment planning, healthcare facilitation and patient advocacy according to the industry's published Standards of Practice.

The case management practitioner has a unique knowledge and ability to work with a variety of patient populations and they deliver services through utilization management, nursing case management, disease management, pharmacy therapy management, health coaching and medical resource coordination. The Case Management Society of America (CMSA) is an international 501(c)(6), multi-disciplinary, professional membership organization dedicated to the support and advancement of the case management profession.

Founded in 1990, CMSA serves over 10,000 individual members.
