You are a professional and you need the continuing education hours to support your license(s) and conference, workshops, and other training venues; and these are how you typically rely on obtaining a bulk of Continuing Education hours. You have noticed over the past couple of years, it is more difficult to obtain the same number of hours at events. Why is this the case?
This session will discuss with you the guidelines for Continuing Education--from the legislative directive, to continuing education providers, and the impacts at the business level. We will make you aware of some of the changes, but mostly relate this information as to how this affects you – from continuing education hours, event sponsorship/support monies, and planning events.
Objectives:
- Discuss the impact of changing continuing education guidelines and companies policies on educational events starting at the legislative level.,
- Discuss the impact these changes have on sponsorship and support from business.,
- Discuss how all of these changes affect people as attendees and as event coordinators or planners.
