As a case manager, part of your business success is reflected in your concern for your clients’ quality of care. Your role is to ensure that your patients become healthier, while taking into consideration the rising costs of today’s health care.

Nowhere is this more prevalent than for those in need of prosthetic services. As a case manager, you represent amputee patients who will require a LIFETIME of prosthetic care and service.

Join us in learning more about the prosthetic and health care needs of an amputee for today and into the future. Assess their current care needs to help them become healthier and more active, faster. Learn the questions to ask to increase your patient’s chances for a successful outcome, while at the same time lower the overall health care cost to you and your clients.

This session will discuss:

·         The importance of the correct prosthetic intervention immediately following an amputation. Learn what to look for in a prosthetic facility, and the questions to ask to ensure your patient is put on the right path to success.

·         Review traditional methods of prosthetic care vs. today’s advancements in innovation. Learn how the differences in these methods can affect the success and the cost of an amputee’s care, immediately and throughout their life as an amputee.

·         Discuss the role of a TEAM approach to an amputee’s prosthetic care, and the specific roles each TEAM member should play to get the best outcome physically and financially for your patient.

Objectives:
  1. Compare and contrast today’s methods of prosthetic care.
  2. Analyze prosthetic care choices.
  3. Define the TEAM approach to an amputee’s care.
