Angela R. Ducker, RN, BSN, MSN

Angela “Angie” Ducker, RN, BSN, MSN, is the Clinical Nurse Manager in PMSI’s Clinical Services. Angie is responsible for business program and product development. Her strong business acumen and customer needs analyses continue to provide opportunities for PMSI, its customers, and patients. Angie is the Moderator and Nurse Planner for the PMSI Continuing Education Services Group and the Continuing Education Planning Committee of PMSI.

She began her case management career in 1986. Merging both clinical and business expertise, she brings years of experience in the healthcare arena. Angie possesses extensive hands-on experience in managed care services, focusing on improving outcomes as they pertain to medical, financial, and quality of life for patients and payors. She has 16 years’ experience in clinical nursing, functioning in the role of Charge Nurse for a 16-bed acute CCU, as well as working in ICU, Neuro ICU, and Respiratory ICU.

As a Master’s prepared nurse, Angie has researched, developed, and written several continuing education programs based on her extensive cardiac, orthopedic, and pharmacology background. She is a published author for several nursing journals: “Case Manager,” “Inside Case Management,” “Continuing Care,” and the “Voice,” a southeastern, medical-insurance newspaper. She is also a recognized speaker, and has presented at several professional association meetings, RIMS, and claims offices throughout the country. She has developed policies, procedures, and education manuals for medical/vocational case management, return-to-work programs, MCAs, cardiac rehabilitation, and corporate wellness programs; and is a member of CMSA.
