Nelson Aragon, PharmD
|
Nelson Aragon, PharmD, is a Clinical Pharmacist in the Clinical Services Department of PMSI, and has significant experience evaluating complex pharmacotherapeutic pain management issues confronting the workers’ compensation industry. He is experienced in performing therapeutic reviews and interventions for workers’ compensation claims; and has also assisted in establishing multiple clinical programs to improve the medication therapy of injured workers.
Dr. Aragon also serves as the lead pharmacist in charge of PMSI’s drug information service, “Ask the Pharmacist,” and currently holds the title of “Editor In Chief” for the company’s industry newsletter, “PMSInfo.” He holds an appointment as a Clinical Assistant Professor with the University of FL College of Pharmacy, and teaches pain management and drug information to senior Doctor of Pharmacy students.
Dr. Aragon regularly participates in various pharmacist-led education activities for nurses, case managers, and other healthcare professionals. He holds a Doctor of Pharmacy degree from the University of FL College of Pharmacy, and is currently licensed as a registered pharmacist in the State of Florida.
