Catherine (Cathy) Campbell, RN-BSN, MBA, CHC, FACHE, is the Director of Case Management at Mesquite Specialty Hospital in Dallas, TX. This role coincides with ongoing regulatory requirements at the county, state, and federal healthcare legislation. Healthcare experience includes fourteen years of Hospital Case Management, Corporate Case Management Consultant, Chief Nursing Officer, and Chief Executive Officer. Educational background includes a Bachelor of Science in Nursing and a Master of Business Administration. Cathy continues to advance her education by pursuing studies in Healthcare Legalities and Ethics, Advancing of Healthcare Systems, and Influencing the Future of Nursing and Healthcare. Certifications have been achieved in Healthcare Compliance and advancement to Fellow in American College of Healthcare Executives.
Cathy currently holds a role as an AARP Congressional District Public Policy volunteer. This position provides a direct line to impending healthcare bills with recommended congressional and committee leaders. DFW Chapter contributions include Board of Director Member, Annual Conference Committee, 2009-2010 Chapter President-Elect and Chapter Public Policy Liaison. She has served a two-year term as the facilitator for CMSA’s Communities of Practice. Cathy contributes her healthcare experience and knowledge by participating as an adjunct faculty member at Western Governors University, Grand Canyon University, and El Centro Community College.
Cathy enjoys participating in charitable organizations, such as the Diabetes Association and MDA.
