Ellen Fink-Samnick, LCSW, CCM, CRC, is President of EFS Supervision Strategies, LLC, which is dedicated to professional empowerment for health and human service professionals. She brings her energy, wit, and a "no-nonsense and lessons learned" approach from 27 years in developing innovative case management models for health and mental health care. With national and international recognition for her work on Professional Resilience & Transdisciplinary Ethics, Ellen is a popular presenter and respected author, with her articles published in numerous professional journals and translated into multiple languages.
Along with her clinical social work supervision practice in Virginia, Ellen serves as Adjunct Faculty for George Mason University. She is a Clinical Supervision Certification Trainer for the National Association of Social Workers of Virginia, and an Approved Instructor for them. Ellen is also an Examination Item Writer for the Association of Social Work Boards, and serves on the Editorial Advisory Board for Lippincott’s Professional Case Management.
Ellen is a Commissioner for the Commission for Case Manager Certification, a current member of their Executive Committee, and Chair of their Committee on Ethics and Professional Conduct. She is the current co-facilitator of the Social Work/Behavioral Health Community of Practice for the Case Management Society of America, and past Executive Officer and Board member of the Case Management Society of the National Capital area.
Ellen was also CMSA's 2002 “Case Manager of the Year.” For the National Association of Social Workers of Virginia, Ellen has served as an Executive Officer, Board Member, and Delegate to the 2008 and upcoming 2011 Delegate Assembly. Recently, she contributed to the inaugural Professional Self-Care policy, published in the latest edition of "Social Work Speaks."
Ellen is a Certified Case Manager, Licensed Clinical Social Worker, and Certified Rehabilitation Provider.
