Vikki Choate, RN, CCM, RN-BC, CCP, PAHM, is employed at Cheyenne Regional Medical Center in Cheyenne, WY, as Vice President of Performance Excellence, Chief Quality Officer. Vikki is a Registered Nurse with over 25 years of clinical, case management, and managed care experience. She holds two certifications in Case Management and certification in Disease Management.
As a result of her attendance at the Population Health Impact Institute’s concurrent session at CMSA's 19th Annual Conference and Expo in Phoenix, Vikki has obtained certification in the Method Evaluation Process™. Vikki is a graduate of the University of Maine system, and is currently pursuing a Master's degree in nursing with a specialization in Organization Leadership.
As a result of her recent move from New England to the west, Vikki will participate in the Rocky Mountain Chapter of CMSA. Vikki is a member of the American Organization of Nurse Executives, and the American Association of Managed Care Nurses.
She has significant experience in case management and health plan operations leadership. She has overseen utilization management, case management, disease management, credentialing, quality, member services, and wellness programs. Vicki has supported commercial, Medicaid, Medicare, and military contracts where she has developed a variety of population health, quality, and care management programs.
She has also dedicated a portion of her career to training care managers and physicians on best practices that integrate evidence-based decision support into their roles. In this capacity, Vikki received a certificate in Training from the American Society of Training and Development.
