Jim Andrews, R.Ph, is the Senior Vice President of Operations for Cypress Care, a healthcare services company delivering integrated solutions to the workers’ compensation and auto casualty markets. Mr. Andrews’ primary responsibility is to provide overall direction and guidance to all of the operational activities of Cypress Care’s pharmacy services unit. These include, but are not limited to, pharmacy contracting, call center operations, clinical support, formulary management, regulatory compliance, and industry participation.

He received his pharmacy degree from the University of Georgia; and came to Cypress Care with over 25 years’ experience in retail chain pharmacy. His past responsibilities included accountability for pharmacy systems development and support, with a primary focus on the utilization of pricing, clinical drug data, and managed care claims submission. Mr. Andrews has also worked as a member of the pharmacy operations management team with an increasing scope of responsibilities to include district and regional management.

He is a member of the American Pharmacist Association, National Association of Chain Drug Stores (NACDS), Academy of Managed Care Pharmacy, and National Council of Prescription Drug Programs (NCPDP).  Mr. Andrews is the co-chair of NCPDP’s Workers’ Compensation (WC) workgroup, and is currently licensed to practice pharmacy in Florida and Georgia. In addition, he is a frequent industry speaker, and has had several articles published on various pharmacy topics.
