Jose Alejandro, RN-BC, MSN, MBA, CCM, ACHE, is currently with the nursing faculty at El Centro College. He was formally employed as Director of Care Management at Parkland Health & Hospital System in Dallas, TX.
Jose earned his BS in Nursing from the University of TX at Arlington; his MBA in Healthcare Management from University of Dallas; and MS in Nursing from the University of Phoenix. He is currently a PhD student in Public Leadership at Capella University.
He serves as a mentor to nursing students in the Dallas-Fort Worth area. Mr. Alejandro is currently adjunct faculty at Excelsior College, University of Phoenix and Grand Canyon University.
Mr. Alejandro has also presented at local, state, and national conferences on care of the indigent population. Jose is on CMSA’s 2009-2010 Board; and he is also CMSA’s 2009-2010 Chapter Presidents’ Council Chair. He currently sits on the editorial advisory Board of Texas Nursing Voice, a publication of the Texas Nurses Association; and Nurses Lounge – Dallas/Fort Worth Edition. Mr. Alejandro was recognized at the Texas Nurses' Association House of Delegates as an emerging leader and completed the inaugural TNA Leadership Institute.
