Lisa K. Alberte, RN, BSN, CCM, MS, CRC, ABDA

Lisa K. Alberte, RN, BSN, CCM, MS, CRC, ABDA, is President of Lisa K. Alberte & Associates, a rehab consulting firm that has provided total care management, rehabilitation, and preventative services for 14 years. The company's devotion is a quest for achieving client wellness, advocacy, and service results.
Lisa is a Registered Nurse with a Bachelor of Science Degree in Nursing, and a Master's of Science Degree in Rehabilitation Counseling. She is a Certified Case Manager, a Certified Rehabilitation Counselor, a Certified Private Vocational Specialist, and American Board Certified Disability Analyst. In addition, she is a CPR, First Aid, AED & Professional Rescuer Instructor, and a Forklift Operator and Instructor.
Lisa has over 21 years of dedication in rehabilitation services. She specializes in rehabilitation nursing and catastrophic case management. She completes life care plans and expert testimony; and has extensive experience working with employers, teaching safety classes to employees, providing vocational rehab services, and job coaching to people with brain injuries. Lisa also does much public speaking about client services, advocacy, and rehab potential.
She founded and runs Embracing Hope, a community support group for people/families with brain injuries. She was hired as part of a grant training team organized through the Department of Health & Family Services Brain Injury Advisory Council Infrastructure Grant in Wisconsin that traveled statewide to educate case managers, discharge planners, and DVR counselors about maximizing potential for people with brain injuries.
She won the Individual Advocacy Award through the Brain Injury Association of Wisconsin in 2004, and also won the Healthcare Hero Award for Community Service through the Small Business Times in 2006. In 2008, she was elected Nurse of the Year by the Milwaukee Journal Sentinel and Nurses District Association.
She is a member of the Case Management Society of America (CMSA), and has been a Past President and an Executive Board Member of the CMSA--Milwaukee Chapter. She is a member and Past President of WARPPS (Wisconsin Association of Rehabilitation Professionals in Private Sector), and is also a member of the Brain Injury Association of Wisconsin.
